General Information Seventh through twelfth grade girls at Heritage Academy may sign up to participate in Fall 2013 Volleyball. The participation fee is $330, although continuing families who submit their daughter’s registration form between April 8th and 19th , and new families who submit their daughter’s registration form between April 22nd and May 10th, will receive an early-registration discount of $35, reducing the participation fee to $295.
The deadline to register is July 12.
Heritage Academy typically has a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. If there is enough interest at the 6th-8th grade level, a Junior High team is sometimes formed.
Season practice will begin Monday, August 12, the week before school begins, and students will also have opportunity to enroll in volleyball camps hosted by Heritage Academy that will occur the first two weeks of August.
Once school begins (August 19) practices will typically occur three afternoons each week in the Activities Building on campus. Specific afternoon practice times for each team will be provided closer to the start of the season.
It will be typical for athletes to have two competitive events each week. The varsity season will likely include twelve to sixteen games games with two to four additional tournament.. The junior varsity season will likely include twelve to sixteen games with two additional tournament opportunities.
The season will reach completion by the end of October.
Home Games Unless otherwise noted on the schedule, Heritage Academy home games are generally played in the Activities Building at Calvary Baptist Church (606 Ridgeway Avenue, Columbia, MO 65203). Basic concessions are available for purchase. Gate fee is $1/student, $2/adult, $6/family.
Athlete Transportation Parents will be responsible for providing or arranging their students' transportation to both home and away games.
