Mr. Jackson Overton (2017 Graduate)
Favorite Bible verse: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” ~ Matthew 10:16 Words of wisdom: "As Abel gave the best he had to the Lord, so should we. Make your work as a student an offering to the Lord, approaching and completing it with excellence." |

I look forward to traveling to Israel this summer with a group of 30 students from SMU, where we will spend two weeks visiting prominent locations from Jesus’s ministry." What did you like most about Heritage? The school has so many wonderful qualities, but the awesome community and great teachers are what truly set it apart from other schools. Heritage has a close knit collection of strong Christian families that make the school a welcoming home. Parents at the school are generous with their time, serving as aides, club leaders, sports coaches, and members of the administration. There isn't a parent at the school who doesn't care passionately for the education their child is receiving. In addition to the wonderful parents, are the exceptional teachers. As a student, I took classes from three teachers with Ph.D.s and numerous teachers with advanced graduate degrees. Several of my teachers worked in the fields they taught, giving them the ability show students how abstract ideas function in the workplace or in a vocation. |
