Heritage Academy, a University-Model School, announces Mr. Ben Schnipper as Director of Community Life beginning August 15, 2018  

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ben Schnipper as the Director of Community Life at Heritage Academy of Columbia.  Mr. Schnipper follows Mrs. Tammy King who will remain on the administrative team with other responsibilities.  

​In his new role at Heritage, Ben will be responsible for community life, spiritual formation in students, and the Warrior Servant-Leader Program.  Ben also serves as the student pastor (a.k.a. pastor of awesomeness) at Genesis Church in Mexico, Missouri.

Ben holds a BA in Bible from Hannibal LaGrange University and a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has been involved in student ministry for the past 12 years.  Reflecting on his new role at Heritage, he adds, “I am looking forward to getting to know the students and families of Heritage Academy, and excited to help make this school year a success academically, spiritually, and in all other areas.”

Ben has been married to Peggy for 17 years.  Together, they have 3 children—Jenna (10 years old), Sara (5 years old), and Addison (3 years old).  He enjoys reading, board games, listening to audio books.

Heritage Academy welcomes Miss Rebecca Reed to the Administrative team as Administrative Assistant beginning Friday, October 5th, 2018.  

Rebecca grew up in a Christian home in Harrisburg.  She is a long time participant in Far Above Rubies and the home schooling Community in Mid-Missouri.

Miss Reed is a graduate of Columbia College in Music Performance (May 2018).  Previously, she worked for Heritage Academy as a piano accompanist for Junior High Choir and an Administrative Assistant in 2013-2014.  She attends Faith Baptist Church where she is the choral director.
